Description :
Diazepam is a long acting benzodiazepine with anti-convulsant, anxiolytic,
sedative, muscle relaxant and amnestic properties.
Composition :Each uncoated tablet contains
Diazepam

Indication : • Anxiety Disorders
• Preoperative Anxiolysis

Alcohol Withdrawal
•
Musculoskeletal Conditions
Dosage :
Doses should be the lowest that can control symptoms and courses of treatment
should be short, not normally exceeding 4 weeks, with diazepam being withdrawn
gradually.
Elderly
and debilitated patients should be given not more than one half of the usual
adult dose.
ADULTS :
Anxiety:210
mg, 2-3 times daily
Insomnia:5-30 mg orally at bed time
Muscle
Spasm: 10-30 mg daily orally
Premedication: 5-30 mgorally before operation.
PEDIATRICS :Not for use in pediatric patients under 6
months.
