Description :
Furosemide is a potent diuretic with rapid action.
Composition :
Each uncoated tablet Contains:
Indications :
1. OEDEMA: Acute pulmonary oedema,
oedema of cardiac, hepatic and renal disease, hypertension refractory oedema
and cerebral oedema.
2. To treat hypercalcaemia
Dosage :
Furosemide tablets may be administered orally. Furosemides effects are evident
with in 30 minutes to 1 hour after a dose by mouth, peak at 1 to 2 hours, and
last for about 4 to 6 hours. In the treatment of oedema, the usual initial dose
is 40 mg once daily by mouth.
In the treatment of hypertension, furosemide
is given in doses of 40 to 80 mg daily by mouth, either alone or in conjugation
with other antihypertensives.
