MELFAX Tablets work on relaxing the smooth muscles that cause spasms. It is an excellent NSAID, and help in reducing inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. 

Muscle spasms or muscle cramps generally occur due to uncontrollable involuntary and forcible contractions of the muscles which does not relax easily. The most common causes of muscle spasms are muscle pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety and muscle overuse.  

Biliary colic is the intermittent crampy pain in the middle of upper right abdomen that results in obstructing the flow of bile from the gall bladder.  

MELFAX Tablets should be taken for about 1 week in case of colic and up to 2 weeks for muscle pain. The dosage duration may vary according to the severity of the spasms and colic.  

1 MELFAX Tablet should be taken twice a day for the recommended amount of time. 

Apart from being useful for muscle spasms and colic, MELFAX Tablets can also be used for relieving pain associated with: abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, intestinal colic, biliary colic, renal colic, ureteric colic, irritable bowel syndrome.
